Biography
Jazz musician and composer. He had a very long career on the BBC, hosting over 500 episodes of My Music and appearing as the "Musical Mistakes Man" on Many a Slip, writing most of the questions in both roles.
Born 1 April 1921, he died on 22 June 2009.
Trivia
Scored a #29 hit in February 1963 called Pied Piper (The Beeje). During the 1970s it was often played before matches at Queen's Park Rangers, the club where Race was a season ticket holder.
