Synopsis

A quiz marking the 50th birthday of the BBC's second channel. Much anecdotage along with quiz rounds including identifying theme tunes whistled by a group of BBC2 greats led by Bob Harris, distinguishing real programme descriptions from Alan Partridge proposals, a variation on Never Mind the Buzzcocks' identity parade round in which all five participants have a claim to fame, and naming comedy characters from a quickfire montage of clips.

Which of these is: Alan Sugar's original PA in The Apprentice; Laa-Laa from Teletubbies; the first woman to referee the World Snooker final; the first female champ of One Man and His Dog; Twin Peaks' Log Lady?

The teams were Hugh Dennis, Deborah Meaden and Gareth Malone versus Brian Cox, Meera Syal and Dave Myers. Guests who popped in for a chat and to ask questions included Rebecca Front, Ainsley Harriott, David Attenborough, Joan Bakewell and Paul Hollywood.
