Biography
Born in Ilford in 1968, Powell came to fame in 1986 hosting BBC2's "yoof teevee" show No Limits, and the early 1990s hosting ITV's various Saturday children's shows. She spent the latter part of the decade turning the letters on Wheel of Fortune, and has since hosted various lifestyle and chat shows on obscure little channels — H.O.T. for Granada Breeze, Coming Up for Granada Talk, Soap Fever for ITV2, Lunchtime Live and Loose Women for ITV1... She also turned her hand to stand-up comedy on Stand Up Jenny (2004).
