Biography
Actor who made his film debut in 1933 at the age of 14 and went on to feature in a slew of British movies, among the better-known ones today being Gaslight, The Blue Lamp and Laurence Olivier's Henry V.
His later career saw him move into broadcasting, perhaps most famously as the host of the "admag" programme Jim's Inn but also various game shows, and a Sunday breakfast show on the Light Programme. He died of cancer in 1970, aged 51.
