Biography
Newcastle-born comedian and presenter who originally sought fame as guitarist in the 1980s pop-soul group The Funkrew - but despite a major-label deal, and a change of name to Strength, no hits were forthcoming. So instead he tried out at The Comedy Store, which led to him becoming a warm-up man for TV, and subsequently a presenter, actor and writer.
