Synopsis

Members of the public bring along their collectibles to sell to one of four buyers. However, they can only hear each buyer's offer one at a time, and they cannot go back to an offer once they have rejected it, meaning they must decide whether to stick with the offer they have received, or move onto the buyer in the next room in the hope their offer might be better.

Trivia

The show went all over the schedules during its five series run. The first two series were consistent during both of their eight episode runs, with the first series airing on Tuesday nights at 8pm and the second series airing on Wednesday nights at 8pm (the last episode aired on Sunday 20 May 2012 at 7.05pm).

The third series saw an extended run of 30 episodes, it was originally in a daytime slot for the first fourteen episodes from 29 April to 24 May 2013. The last sixteen episodes were put back in primetime on Friday nights at 8pm from 7 June to 20 September 2013.

Another 30 episodes were commissioned for the fourth series, but it went all over the schedule and switched channels during its run. The first five episodes aired on Sunday nights at 7pm from 18 May to 15 June 2014 on Channel 4, and then it went off for months and months. Episodes 6-8 aired from 22 February to 15 March 2015, still on Sundays at 7. Then episodes 9-20 emerged on More4 on Wednesday nights at 9pm from 8 July to 23 September 2015. Channel 4 aired the last ten episodes back on the main channel, burning them off in the very early morning (around 2am) from 6 to 28 November 2015.

The fifth and final series was commissioned for a 20 episode run with new host Sarah Beeny. The first ten episodes aired on More4 from 22 August to 24 October 2016 on Monday nights at 9pm, Episodes 11-13 moved back to Channel 4 on Wednesday nights at 10pm from 8 to 22 February 2017 (episode 13 aired at 10.20pm) and episodes 14-16 aired from 27 to 29 December 2017 again on Channel 4 but in daytimes. After a wait of almost two years, the final four episodes aired on Channel 4 late on Saturday afternoons from 2 to 23 November 2019.
