Biography
Scottish comedian, making up 50% (in numbers) and 30% (in height) of the comedy legend that is The Two Ronnies where his monologues and repartee with partner Ronnie Barker are fondly remembered. In the early days, he was a regular on clever BBC comedy series such as The Frost Report and, er, Crackerjack. In addition, he played repressed librarian Timothy Lumsden in the 1980's BBC sitcom Sorry!, having also previously played a similarly downtrodden character in the 1970's sitcom "Now Look Here...!" and its sequel, "The Prince of Denmark".
