After several years of chart success in the group, Baby Spice, as she was commonly known, followed her fellow Spice Girls in embarking on a solo career, the highlight of which was reaching number one with What Took You So Long? in April 2001. After a Spice Girls reunion in the mid-2000's, she has in recent years begun to develop a career in television.
She announced her engagement to former Damage singer Jade Jones live on an episode of Dancing on Ice in January 2011. The pair had been in a relationship for over ten years prior to their engagement.
Bunton has a son, born in 2007, and is expecting another child in 2011.
