Synopsis
In short, The Million Pound Drop meets The Enemy Within.
You have six "content creators" hereinafter referred to as "the team", and two investigators, who are ex-police officers or gangsters, or... other. There are five rounds, each of which is a single multiple-choice question where the team stake the prize money on their chosen answer(s) by placing it on the appropriate trapdoor(s). The team includes two "snakes" who have been given the answers in advance and whose job it is to make the team lose money, because over the course of the game the prize pot is effectively divided into two: the retained money is the honest players' prize pot, while the "lost" money is the snakes' to be claimed if they outlast the honest players. After each round except the first, the investigators choose the person they believe is a snake, who is booted off and reveals whether or not they actually were. If one or both snakes survive to the end, they claim their prize money; otherwise the surviving Honest player(s) and the investigators split what's left.
Could this work as a show with members of the public? Quite possibly: take eight strangers, assign both the snake and the investigator roles at random, bring in a better lighting rig, and it could fill a hole in daytime.
