Biography
Actress-turned-presenter, Nadia played Annie Palmer in EastEnders and did the rounds of all the other big drama serials (Casualty, The Bill, etc). Nowadays she's better known for being omnipresent as a presenter on daytime TV and Adrian Chiles' original sidekick on the "Nationwide-for-the-Noughties" magazine The ONE Show.
Trivia
Her younger sister is comic actress Julia Sawalha (of 'Second Thoughts', 'Absolutely Fabulous', 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Lark Rise To Candleford' fame) and their father is the accomplished actor Nadim Sawalha, who was in 'Dangerfield', among other things.
She appeared in the 2003 series 'Comic Relief Celebrity Driving School' as one of six celebrity non-drivers, who also included Paul O'Grady, Gareth Gates, Jade Goody, Simon Day and Natalie Cassidy. They all took their driving tests at the end of the week and the results were announced on Comic Relief Night - they all failed! (Sawalha, it should be mentioned, was taking her lessons and test while heavily pregnant).
