Synopsis
Children's talent show for singers, instrumentalists and "elocutionists". Three winners were announced on the night, with listeners then invited to send in what they thought was the judges' exact order of merit, with a prize for the first correct answer pulled out of what, this being 1924, may well have been a literal hat.
Not necessarily the first ever radio competition show, but currently the earliest known to us.
