Synopsis
Young classical singers from around the world converge on Cardiff and, well, sing. There are two categories, "Opera" and "Song" (formerly "Lieder"), and 25 singers take part in the televised stages.
The competition takes place in odd-numbered years only, with Young Musician of the Year running in the even-numbered years.
