Biography
One of ITV's most iconic announcers - Redvers Kyle made a name for himself as an announcer for Associated Rediffusion who also presented just about any studio-bound production going.
After Rediffusion was forced into a shotgun marrage with ABC to from the mighty Thames Television, he made the trip north to Yorkshire Television and for 25 years, lead a formidable team featuring the likes of John Crosse and the late Graham Roberts. Redvers is now retired but did pop up as a guest voiceover for Victor Lewis Smith's TV Offal.
Trivia
He made history in 1957 as the first presenter of a schools programme on British television.
