Synopsis
To qualify for the show a husband had to be put forward by his wife via a glowing reference regarding how wonderful and considerate he was with the kids etc.
Some short footage of the man in his home environment would always be shown. If we remember rightly, two men would go head-to-head each week in a knockout format, culminating in a grand final.
The format of each show entailed the entrants being put through a number of "role play" scenarios, based upon the challenges faced by husbands in everyday domestic life, with marks given for their performance. Most notable was the challenge that involved getting into bed with the hostess Jenny Lee Wright and talking their way out of a sticky situation, in which Jenny would play the aggrieved wife with a mock-up 'bone to pick' with the husband.
