After a long break, The Voice of Holland of This Territory resumes (ITV, Sat) with a recap from the heats, back in prehistoric times. There's a new series of 5 Gold Rings (ITV, Sun), great news for the Phillip Schofield Fan Club.
Something new from CITV: Don't Unleash the Beast (weeknights) is an adventure series, contains no Mark Labbett. Ultimate Goal (various BT Sport channels, from Tue) finds a new footballer and makes sure she's worth it.
One reality show ends, The Bridge runs out of planks (C4, Sun and Mon). One reality show lasts the week, Don't Rock the Boat has a bunch of celebrities rowing via a very circuitous route (ITV, weeknights).

Saturday 31 October - Hallowe'en
An unexpected speech from Downing Street proposed new restrictions for England. The time of the speech moved from 4pm to 5pm, and it eventually began at 6.49. BBC1 had a news special from 4.30, and changed its early evening schedule a lot during the night; ITV stuck with its scheduled rugby match with an extended news bulletin at 7pm.
