Biography
BAFTA and Oliver Award-winning actress who got her start with the Royal Shakespeare Company before becoming a household name in the classic sitcoms The Good Life and To The Manor Born. Later sitcoms included Executive Stress, No Job for a Lady and Next of Kin. She hasn't been tempted back to sitcom since the latter was axed in 1997, but still performs on stage and more recently has carved out a niche doing countryside travelogues for Channel 4.
