Liverpool-born singer-turned comic who rose to fame as a result of an appearance in the 1970 Royal Variety Performance. His madcap act was frequently seen on TV during the 1970s and 1980s, and in 2008 he celebrated 50 years in showbiz.

He died on 9 May 2019, aged 76.
