Trivia

The first episode pit Les Dennis against Bob Mortimer, with the victor Bob Mortimer hosting the second episode, where Ricky Gervais beat Grant Bovey. A series was planned for 2003, which would have pit Tony Hadley against John Pienaar, Donal McIntyre against Darren Day, the then-MSP Tommy Sheridan against the pundit Gordon Smith and the former Rangers Ian Durrant against Peter Grant. However, after the second special, the British Boxing Board of Control threatened to revoke the licenses of the celebrities' trainers on the grounds the fights were unsafe for anyone above 35, and the BBC eventually had to postpone the series. Interestingly, John Pienaar was originally to face Boris Johnson.
