Biography
Son of a Cardiff businessman, Peter Martyn trained as an actor in the USA before returning to Britain to appear on stage and in films, carving a niche as authority figures (policemen and military types) in several minor Ealing comedies. He died after a short illness in 1955, aged just 29.
