Biography

Patrick's big break came in 1995, when a stand-up performance for Comic Relief in Belfast in 1995 led to his own BBC programme. This show, PK Tonight, earned him huge acclaim when he launched it in his native Northern Ireland in 1995, with an incredible 60% audience share.

His success on national shows has been somewhat less marked, particularly due to the BBC PR disaster The National Lottery Big Ticket.

His father, Jack, was killed by loyalist paramilitaries during The Troubles.

On 30th September 2012, after a nine-month courtship, he married his former Fame Academy co-presenter Cat Deeley at a ceremony in Rome.

His great ambition is to learn to 'monoski' (waterski on one ski).

He tried to break the US market with a pilot version of Deal or No Deal.
