Biography
Dublin-born presenter who spent much of his career in the UK. Initially an amateur boxer, he went on commentate for Radio Eireann then the BBC. He is best known for presenting biography surprise show This is Your Life for 20 years (1968-87). He made many appearances on panel games, as both a panellist and host.
Trivia
He was born in Dublin's Synge Street, the same street in which playwright George Bernard Shaw was born.
On one edition of What's My Line?, they played a trick on the panel by making Eamonn the mystery guest.
