Biography
Comedian who started out as a radio producer before rising to fame in the sketch show Not the Nine o'Clock News and formed a successful partnership with co-star Mel Smith. He's also acted on stage and screen, and presented all manner of history programmes and travelogues.
He and Smith also founded the production company Talkback and continued to be involved with it until 2000.
