Biography
Cartoonist, writer and general humorist who rose to fame as part of the 1960s satire boom, being one of the original staff of Private Eye and a regular on the TV show That Was The Week That Was. Apart from ISIHAC, he also turned up frequently on other TV and radio shows (his appearances on Jackanory are fondly remembered) and narrated a good many audiobooks. He died in 1996 from complications of heart surgery.
