Biography
One of the 1990s wave of TV chefs, known for his short, spiky hair, love of traditional English food (preferably with gravy) and insistence on "building" his dishes.
He died in November 2019, aged 59.
Trivia
Was so enormously famous at one stage that BBC2 even built their christmas promotions around him.
