Peter Marshall
Biography
Smooth Derry-born broadcaster who after starting his announcing career at his native Ulster Television, moved to the mainland and announced for Anglia, Southern, ATV, HTV West and most famously at Thames Television alongside other announcing greats such as Tom Edwards and Philip Elsmore. His career at Thames led him to a career on the network as the host of Miss World (for 12 consecutive years) and Miss United Kingdom. Peter has also presented on BBC Radio 2 and Melody FM (a local station in London). He's retired from broadcasting and now works as a property developer.
Trivia
Whilst at Anglia, Peter was the announcer for the first series of Sale of the Century in 1971. Fellow Anglia announcer John Benson replaced him from the second series onwards but Peter later presented the SKY TV revival.
