Word and Line
Synopsis
An "identification bee", apparently. Either nobody used the word "quiz" in those days, or the BBC thought it awfully common. Either way, we're not entirely sure what an identification bee might involve. It might be a version of the Ex Libris game where you have to name a piece of literature given a small passage from it.
This turned out to be the last of the BBC television service's one-off quizzes, er, bees, before the war intervened, forcing television off the air for the duration.
