Biography
Andi rose to fame presenting programme links for Children's BBC from the "Broom Cupboard", from 1989 to 1993, accompanied by Edd the Duck. Like Phillip Schofield before him, he went from there to Saturday mornings, presenting Live & Kicking alongside Emma Forbes until 1996. He then spent the best part of a decade behind the cameras, creating Channel 4's teen-appeal strand T4 before returning to the BBC in 2003 to all but destroy Top of the Pops. He returned to presenting in 2006 and, again like Schofield, is an ITV face these days, usually seen putting up with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
Trivia
He was a finallist in the 2008 "Celebrity Masterchef" series and cooked some excellent food, although he was pipped at the final post by Liz McClarnon.
We're sure we read somewhere that he is allergic to chocolate. However, given the enthusiasm with which he dug into Jamie Theakston's chocloate fondant when acting as a guest judge on Celebrity Masterchef 2012, clearly not...
Both he and his 'Children's BBC' sidekick 'Edd The Duck' were gunged in considerable style on Noel's House Party on 2 January 1993. He was even an NTV victim on 31 December 1994.
