He went on to become a showbiz reporter in Hollywood, America. He's also hosted Miss World and even appeared as a stand-in host on the US version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He's also an actor and played the role of Billy Ryan in several series of the CITV drama 'Children's Ward' before he was on 'Blue Peter', and later Marty Dangerfield, son of the eponymous lead character, in the BBC's medical drama 'Dangerfield', from 1996 until 1997.
