Biography

Penny presented Thames News in London in the late 1980s alongside Andrew Gardner and Robin Houston, before becoming one of the first two faces seen on Sky News (Alistair Yates being the other) when it launched on 5 February 1989. She's arguably best known, however, for her long association with GMTV, serving as its chief news presenter from shortly after its launch in 1993 until shortly before its closure in 2010.
