Biography
All-singing, all-dancing Essex girl whose first big TV gig was co-presenting The Big Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan. Later she enjoyed phenomenal success on the stage, playing Roxie Hart in Chicago to sell-out audiences in the West End and on Broadway, and starred in a revival of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Tell Me On a Sunday. Her recent TV appearances have included a regular part in the drama Where the Heart Is, and guest hosting duties on This Morning and The Friday Night Project. She hosted the original US version of Grease is the Word, You're the One That We Want.
Trivia
As a child, appeared in a Dutch advert for bread.
Was originally just Denise Outen, but added the Van when she entered showbiz.
Had a couple of minor hit singles as half of the pop duo Those 2 Girls.
