Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen
Biography
Born in Kensington, London in 1965, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen first came to public attention as a designer on the BBC's home make-over show Changing Rooms. After the programme's demise in 2004, he has continued to appear on television in a variety of roles, including being a guest, host, expert, and even judge.
Trivia
He and his wife Jackie are the biggest-winning celebrities on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, winning £500,000 for charity on a Valentine's Day special in 2006. They only won the money, however, after being offered a second £1,000,000 question - they had incorrectly answered the first, asking for the motto of the United States, before this question was deemed to be ambiguous.
Every year since 2007, Laurence has created a number of tableaus and other features for the annual Blackpool Illuminations. In 2010, he was made Creative Director of the event.
