22 August You all laughed with the UK, you ain't laughing now are you?
Amazon Prime Video has announced a UK version of LOL: Last One Laughing with Jimmy Carr as host. The show puts comedians in a locked room and eliminates them if they make each other laugh. More than 20 versions of the show have been made, including an Irish version hosted by Graham Norton. The UK version is planned for release in 2025.

You Bet!
6 August Do you wanna bet on a return?
After the BBC's recent ratings success with Gladiators, ITV have announced a short two episode run of You Bet! with Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby as hosts. The revival will be produced by Rollercoaster Television and will air in the autumn.

Bridge of Lies
30 July Yet more bridges to cross for contestants and celebs
The BBC announced another civilian and celebrity series for Bridge of Lies after the third civilian series reached an audience of 1.4 million and the second celebrity series achieving a peak of 2.3 million viewers. The fourth civilian series will again be comprised of 25 episodes and the third celebrity series will be extended to 10 episodes. Both series will air in early 2025.

Gladiators
28 July John Anderson
The original referee on Gladiators, John Anderson has died. He was 92. A tough but firm presence on screen, he started almost every event with the catchphrase "Contender - Ready! Gladiator - Ready!" Anderson was also an athletics coach, guiding international stars including Judy Simpson and Dave Moorcroft.

The Fortune Hotel
25 July Fortune favours the brave in a Hotel again
The Fortune Hotel has been given a second series by ITV. The critically acclaimed show, broadly similar to The Traitors, achieved a peak of 3.1 million viewers when its eight-episode run was stripped across the primetime schedule in May for two weeks with a further 5.9 million streams on ITVX.
