One question you almost certainly haven't been asking yourself is "What are the 100 most popular articles on this site?". Well, tough, because we have and you can see the result of our Greatest Game Shows - now updated for 2022 and ranging from stalwarts like The Crystal Maze and Interceptor to, er, Man O Man. Who knew?
While UKGameshows.com is (even if we say so ourselves) the most comprehensive guide to the genre anywhere on - or off - the web, with over 2100 programmes already in our database it is inevitable that even we're stumped sometimes. So we're asking for your help. A number of our "most wanted" shows are now listed here and a team of volunteers is standing by, waiting to add your contributions to our compendium of game show knowledge. Go on, help us out. The BBC have announced that they have withdrawn from Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The two attempts they have made have gave them great success with Freya Syke finishing fifth place in 2022 and Stand Uniqu3 finishing one place more with fourth place in 2023.
Lang Lang has announced he is stepping down from his role as judge on Channel 4 hit The Piano after this year's Christmas special. He will be replaced by Grammy and Oscar winning composer John Batiste (pictured) for next year's series, which is currently in production.
Tempting Fortune is coming back for an extended series of eight episodes. It's the programme where people go on an expedition and can buy luxuries from a communal prize pot. Channel 4 say that last year's run was one of their most successful new shows of 2023, particularly strong amongst young viewers on catch-up.
A second series of Gladiators has been announced by the BBC ahead of the Grand Final this Saturday, after the first series received an average of a whopping 8.3 million viewers. The second series, like the first, will consist of 11 episodes.
It's only been three weeks since the third series began but The 1% Club has been commissioned for a further two series as well as Christmas specials. The second episode of the current series received 5.3 million viewers, making it ITV's second biggest entertainment series of 2024 so far, behind Saturday Night Takeaway.
