Eurovision Song Contest
13 November Forty-One Open Up to Eurovision 2020
The European Broadcasting Union has announced that 41 entries will compete in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands after the country claimed their fifth victory after their last win in 1975. Bulgaria and Ukraine will return to the contest after a one year absence while Hungary and Montenegro will not.

16 September BMG: You Decide
The BBC has announced that it is teaming up with music company BMG to select the United Kingdom's entry for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This comes after four years of selection by public vote producing very modest results, with this year's entrant Michael Rice finishing last in Tel Aviv, Israel.

3 September Rylan's channel hopping
Rylan Clark is on a game show roll this week as the new series of Supermarket Sweep begins on ITV2 next Monday, but wait, there's more, Channel 4 have announced that Rylan will take over hosting duties for a Christmas-themed series of Buy It Now later this year, and if that wasn't enough, the BBC announced that they were bringing back Ready Steady Cook with Rylan on BBC One. What will Channel 5 have for Rylan? Hosting duties for Blind Date? Only time will tell.

5 June I like children, and I like baking, but which is better? There's only one way to find out...
Channel 4 have announced the return of Junior Bake Off with a new line-up. Harry Hill will take over duties as host. Prue Leith remains the same as a judge, but Paul Hollywood will not - he will be replaced by Liam Charles.

30 May 2019 Alan Carr's Fabulous Five
Alan Carr is to host one-offs of five classic game shows in a new ITV series. The shows are Play Your Cards Right, Take Your Pick, Strike it Lucky, Bullseye, and The Price is Right. Carr previously hosted a one-off of The Price is Right for Channel 4 in 2017.
