Coming up
- Speak Up - Seeking Britain's best young speechmaker. (BBC Manchester for BBC Two, early 2009)
- Natural Born Sellers - Contest to find the nation's best salespeople. Strangely retitled from the original and much better Commission: Impossible. (Silver River for ITV1)
- Kerwhizz - claimed to be the first quiz for children aged 4-6 (oh, I'm sure we could come up with a counterexample or two), this sees CGI characters competing for advantages in a final race. (Cbeebies, later this year)
- You've Got the Answer - Quiz meets hidden-camera show. Didn't Oblivious do something like this? Dale Winton hosts. (Channel TBA)
- One Wrong Move - Couples quiz with Mark Durden-Smith. (Channel TBA)
- Priceless - Price-guessing game with Jamie Theakston. (Channel 4)
- Eating With The Enemy - knockout contest for amateur chefs. James Martin is to be a "mentor". (RDF West for BBC)
- First and Last, a show where people compete to be as average as possible, ironically to be hosted by Justin Lee Collins. Wikipedia has a description of this format. (Endemol for Channel 4).
- Click City sends kids on a treasure hunt with mobile phones. (Lion TV, channel unknown)
- Space Pirates: virtual reality adventure game for children. (Lion TV, channel unknown)
- Best in Preschool: Lorraine Kelly and Dominic Wood test pre-schoolers on stuff. (ITV1, tbc)
