Welsh-language programmes broadcast by the Welsh Fourth Channel - Sianel Pedwar Cymru.
S4C began broadcasting on 1 November 1982, the day before Channel 4 in the rest of the UK. Until 31 March 2010, S4C broadcast a mix of Welsh-language programmes produced by BBC Cymru Wales (including news bulletins and the soap opera Pobol y Cwm), HTV Wales and local independent companies, and English-language programmes from Channel 4. Following the completion of the digital switchover in Wales, S4C now broadcasts entirely in Welsh.
